Aboriginal Original First Nations
The Aboriginal Sport Circle is Canada’s national voice for Aboriginal sport, which brings together the interests of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.
The AYN offers information on a broad range of health issues and has resources on employment and educational opportunities, explores culture and tradition as well as useful entertainment and current events information.
The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is the national organization representing First Nations citizens in Canada. The AFN represents all citizens regardless of age, gender or place of residence.
CYFN is the central political organization for the First Nation people of the Yukon. It has been in existence since 1973 and continues to serve the needs of First Nations within the Yukon and the MacKenzie delta.

Get involved! Expand your knowledge on issues related to the environment.
Environmental Youth Alliance is a community development organization based in British Colombia and dedicated to improving the social and physical environment. They have an excellent resource section, and info. on how to be involved in various programs.
If you are interested in the environment you may wish to learn more about taking action. There are great resources and links available as well as excellent volunteer and job opportunities.

Travel & Education
Action Canada fosters youth leaders in its innovative Fellowship program. Each year 20 highly motivated young people do a a ten-month program on leadership and public issues in Canada.
Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada (biannual) Youth Conference brings together Canadian youth aged 15-19 to develop lasting friendships and discuss positive ways they can bring about change on a variety of issues.
Canada World Youth (CWY)-offers youth (between the ages of 18-29) a chance to participate in educational programs and become an active in community development in Canada and overseas.
Encounters with Canada allows Canadian high school students (age 14-17) to take part in one of eleven different week long programs in Ottawa. Selection of participants in each region is made on the recommendation of school authorities.
